Sigma is 100% canonically one of, if not, THE strongest character we know in terms of capabilities.
We have yet to see him go sicko mode, but whats simply implied in what little lore we have available paints a terrifying picture.
But Talon know what he can do. It's never fully told to us what they want him for, but it's a safe guess to say likely to be a weapon.
Also; interesting question about Talon, is it ever said that they have a main HQ or base? Or is the organisation's operations spread apart into smaller places across the world?

after the crisis he became the commander of blackwatch, overwatch's black ops division
he and jack morrison (commander of overwatch) had some friction during the last few years of the organisation, during this time he was also undergoing gene therapy from moira which is how he got his wraith powers
jack and gabe fought in the swiss OW base where it exploded and both of them disappeared
gabriel becomes the reaper, an agent of talon for reasons that are explained in his short story iirc

If we got a Netflix series like Arcane who would you want it to focus on?
If we get an Overwatch series I would want it to be about growing up in the omnic crisis. Specifically Baptiste since he grows up in it and joins Overwatch as an adult after escaping from Mauga. I made this post a while ago of what I would imagine the first episode to be like.
First episode starts with a bomb explosion and some high frequency noise and blurry vision, orange/red colour pallette for the whole scene to show everything is on fire, gun fire from bastion units in the background can be heard faintly, screams of pain and sadness from civilians, fighter jets zooming, and then you cut to the scene to how Baptiste became an orphan and his stance with a rock in his hand standing up to a Bastion unit.
The rest of the show will basically be his origin story but drawn out with his time in the Caribbean Coalition and Talon but end with him escaping Mauga, contacting Sombra and joining the new Overwatch team. Last episode of the first season would be him meeting McCree/Cassidy to start the OW2 story in season 2. What do you think?

As far as I'm aware, they have never implied it was a retcon.
They announced the name Cole Cassidy with a tweet that sated how the name change was cannon in unniverse.
And if it was a retcon, they would have replaced the voicleines in Retribution that mention the name McCree. But they didn't, they just removed them.

When the canon is change because of reasons. We know the reason. They only gave us a tweet with a double entendre that Cassidy chose to go back his old name, but then again, they won’t refer to him by his old name, ever, even if we have some flashback or retale of previous events. They even changed his wanted spray… it checks the boxes of a retcon to me.
I’m reading a book with his 15 yo self already calling himself Cassidy when he first met Ashe. They could have choose to write a disclaimer of some sort at the beginning of the translated book, but no.

Actually I was mistaken, what I meant to say was that just because they aren't using his old name anymore dosen't mean it's been wiped from existence.
And the cannonicty of the name he has in the version of that book you're reading is dubious at best.
It seems to me Blizzard is being so stubborn about not using his old name that they are willing to create a continuity error in the French version of the book.

As for why Reaper's wraith powers are different, I think it's because his super soldier genes are conflicting with his wraith genes. He's too "spliced up" so he can't fade as effectively.

I interpret it this way; Her reaserch revolves around decay and regeneration. Her developing wraith powers is essentially her asking the question "what if an organism could control it's own rate of decay and regeneration?"
Since she knew her experiments would be seen as unethical, she resorted to experimenting on herself in absense of other human test subjects.
