The basic rundown to Tanks from my understanding, Doomfist, Junkerqueen, and winston are pretty much just ego picks, you either kill the entire enemy team or you do nothing providing nothing to your team. Rein, Orisa, Hazard, and sigma are solid tank picks though sigma suffers from lack of shield hp in the long games. Zarya and D.va you pick just to ruin the game for anyone with projectiles. characters like Zarya can carry teams but can easily have her bubbles baited to work around her. Sigma you practically need perfect aim and awareness to pull off given his lack of shield hp. Orisa, rein, and hazzard are usually the best picks for defensive and team support these tanks synergive very well with mei leading to many picks early in fights.

i've been checking out rams powers and honestly im super dissapointed. Dreadknight, Insatiable Spiral, Second Phase, Void Blight, and Conversion Protocal, and all seem like they would be items, not powers, since they're mainly statbased or don't really influence your gameplay

I don’t know how to feel about Dire Triggers only scaling on AP. On the one hand, it gives AP Reaper something other than Death Blossom to use and my WP build does have a few items it can sub in to make sure Dire Triggers is still keeping up while keeping my primary fire damage high, but on the other hand, it makes way more sense for it to scale on WP.

I do hope though that in the mid season patch or in season 3 they give Reaper some items and powers that specifically affect Dire Triggers.

Can also confirm that shrouded shrapnel doesn’t kick in on Dire Triggers shots, but it DOES have a weird interaction with Onslaught, the one where every third shot has both guns fire without consuming an extra shot but the extra shot does 80% less damage in that it counts Dire Triggers as 1 shot but won’t skip the fact that you were supposed to fire a double shot, meaning since it puts your mag at 10, if you fire 2 regular shots and then do Dire Triggers to go from 8 to 6, the very next shot will be a double shot, then a regular shot, and then another double shot.

Except here is the thing, on 90% WP, Reaper’s Primary shot does 219 on a body shot. With 45% AP scaling, Dire Triggers does a flat 200 on a body shot. If you then crank that AP ALL the way up to 120%, that full Dire Triggers shot now does 304 on a body shot. 455 vs tank headshot reduction if someone is unlucky enough to perfectly line their head up with your gun, which is enough to nearly one shot base Zarya, and a 90% Dire Triggers would do 262 on a body shot and about 393 on a headshot to Zarya. As much as I am annoyed that Dire Triggers doesn’t scale off of WP, I DEFINITELY understand the reasoning around making it scale off AP.
