700 damage with weapon power will get you less ult charge than 700 damage with attack speed

same applies to healing

so heroes that don’t require ammo like dva moira mercy scale much better with attack speed

ofc stacking both in equal proportions will get you the best raw numbers

and wp is probably stronger against armor for dva/valk mercy while attack speed can get hit by weapon jammer

so there’s def nuance

but like in my testing full healing a hog for ~650 hp with 50% as got about 22 ult charge with about 90 hps

full healing the hog for the same amount with 50% wp got about 16 ult charge with MAYBE like 91-92 hps not completely certain

25% each was like 95-96 hps and 19% ult charge

which is why if I play mercy I’m prob gonna focus on as and supplement it with specific wp items like beam range, amari’s antidote, nebula conduit

As of this season the new build creator is pretty good, I’d say to go to stadiumbuildsio but honestly the build creator + messing around in stadium practice range with whatever hero you wanna figure out is good too

I like building cataclisma with energy regen and the one that reduces other cds every projectile you fire, doesn’t upgrade whirlwind directly but gives it more uptime

Whirlwind only is def a tuff build since it’s focused around one instance of dmg on a cd unless you get all whirlwind powers, but what I said before + stuff like the purple ap item that gives ap per onslaught stack and the blue ap that gives ap when blocking dmg go well together

The idea is to get onslaught stacks with projectiles, try to get the 15% ap for 5 sec from blocking any amount of dmg then go in w whirlwind it should do decent dmg

Then again I’d rather just go fre or 76 honestly, ven gets bullied a lotttt by hitscans in challenger

because of how armor works

it reduces beam dmg by 30% (so 15% with codebreaker) cuts any dmg below 14 in half(25% with codebreaker) and reduces any damage above 14 by 7(3.5 with codebreaker)

so if you're using reaper or tracer codebreaker is amazing

but on characters like ashe or cass it isnt gonna help that much

Just had the fastest competitive stadium match I've ever seen.
Basically, we had a good team comp but we got our asses HANDED to us, especially me because I got massively diffed by a sweaty Orissa.
Next round, we make vital adjustments to our builds & a plan to target certain peeps first.
It's push on that Venice map, we get into our first team fight with the enemy, I'm hunting down a Juno & javelins her off the map, I also see two other enemies get yeeted off the map & the other 2 get killed.
Then, 3 people leave & then the other 2 type GGs & leaves as well

Guess getting yeeted off the map was a good way to get a W i guess

Kitsune charm and most definitely jet skates are practically usable if not good everywhere. All gadgets give hp and other stats too so things like field support are rly good on ashe/soj. Super serum is good on chaingun soldier and torb. Colossus has its niche uses too like mercy rez's and walking out of ult spam zarya gravs

The green gadgets are all valuable because they all give 25 hp

Youre better off getting any of the others that give 25+ or even 10+ on top of your own health, 25 armor to tank first shot fire, 25 shield and faster health regen, the 100 overhealth with 30% move speed

The common gadgets having lengthy cooldowns and only being useful for a third of the heroes in stadium and too niche of use is just not really worth it

Im not saying you cant make use of them, even tho u really cant with some heroes, but theres also just better options for early and mid game

It isnt till endgame that they somewhat have uses

I see the potential with super serum on soldier, but to make real value for it, you at least need enough weapon power to break over the reduced weapon damage it has, and have plenty of ammo so it actually does something. Ik it gives a free reload, but with the fast firerate, you melt through ammo real quick and if you dont have more than the default, you end up wasting some of the gadgets uptime just to reload before it goes on a 30s cd.

And if you have a kiri, theres really no need for it.

I just made this, but in any other case u can use: Radio Edit power, then Wallvibing power. Items: First Aid Kit, Power Playbook, Aftermarket Firing Pin, Wrist Wraps, Techno Leech, and Sonic Recharger. it'll cost 23k in total. u'll have 575 life it'll prolly be extremely easy to get elims on enemy supports

i just made the best jq build oat i can hardcarry and win a 3v1 without even comming close to dying, i heal faster then they can damage me and i have around 800hp without her health boost and if i land a headshot on a squishy they die instantly and i hardcounter most characters the only one i have trouble with is a maxed zen

like i can go toe to toe with a maxed orisa and a maxed rein without a problem this build has carried me in comp

but the build is not even near perfect so if anyone could give me any tips it would be really appreciated

you get powers on round 1 , 2, 4, and 6 i believe with the new changes

and one person on each team picks characters at the same time, so its sort of a draft? i guess its just to not result in a total comp mismatch favoring one team. the tanks default pick last but all players can swap pick positions freely within their team

Stadium is basically a simpler version of league, you gain currency during the rounds and spend it on upgrades to your stats and gain powers that fundamentally change how your hero operates (add new abilities/completely change how they work), I’m not too sure about how good the heroes are but currently mizuki and venture aren’t in the mode since they only add 1 hero every season now

genji good if ur good, reaper not so good i main him, winston used to be good but he got a few nerfs so im not sure now, orisa reliable, venture mizuki not in the game

reaper doesnt have a viable ap build, his weapon powers dont really do enough like you cant really feel the powers transforming your kit. the best way ive found to play reaper is flanking only with the power that makes you silent

vendettas better if you want to bully tank or w key blindly with your 2 movement abilities

I'm trying to get an idea out there, that I believe would make Stadium (way) more balanced:

When you buy 100 AP with Rein - my main, for example - your pin goes from 225, to 450 - because you get +100%.

If instead, you would just get more 100 AP, it would go from 225, to 325.

Juno's Torpedoes, Cassidy's Criticals, Ashe's Bombs, etc etc... Everything would become way more balanced. Thoughts?

i think how it is now is fine with the percentages but the amount of stats given by the items could definitely be lowered especially AP

if we moved to flat amounts it works nicely for some characters and abilities, but then you have consider dot effects and other low dmg but high projectile/firerate (shotguns, rifles, weak abilities, etc)

the torpedoes themselves too, they already do less than 100 dmg at base 85 dmg so AP as a flat dmg on top would be stronger than percentage
