Hazard: ap generally with Wall build or Block build
Doom: he's pretty mid but tanky with some offense items like Mark of the Kitsune + Lumerico as full ap or wp still won't kill and you'll get blown up
Winston: cdr Primal Slam with some ap
Sigma: Philharmonic + Orbital & Dekuiper's Thesis is a good core that can get a buch of different items or powers with it
Reinhardt: ap>wp tends to be favored with a mix of tanky items or glider and be a rat in their backline
Orisa: Her unique wp items are actually insanely strong and she puts out a ton of poke dmg get with some tanky powers

From what I’ve seen ability power hazard is kinda the best right now. Tanky and does way too much damage. Kind of an insta win into some matchup because a lot of tanks just can’t do anything about it.

Doomfist is very strong option into anything that isn’t dive. He tends to be pretty unstoppable against a lot of comps thanks to his tankiness and evasion aswell as just being super strong early game when it comes to diving.

I’ve seen a lot of sigmas do very well I haven’t tried it myself yet but he tends to do a lot of damage and his rock can be very disruptive into doomfist and hazard aswell as other dive characters if you’re good enough

idk about specific builds but for general tips, jetskates is valuable on like half of the tanks the movement is very useful. always watch out for debuffs dont ignore reflex coating or cushioned padding. abuse crusader hydraulics if u can on an armored or shielded tank its value is on par with epic items.

Oh I love this question, I already made some ideas of stadium powers for: Lifeweaver, Illari, Widow, Sombra, Vendetta and Venture but personally the support i want to see get added is Illari she's my main and top 3 favorite ow2 characters. I can already see the creative potential she can have, like maybe a build where she is a super healer with multiple pylons, Higher healing output and having the ability to heal with her ult. Or became a powerhouse dps where she burns her enemies to a crisp with a swift and easy escape with her outburst.
And the dps I really wanna see is either Vendetta or Widow. Im betting it's gonna be Vendetta since she's like the new villain of ow2 and the new bad guy antagonist.
I just know she's going to be OP, like imagine being able to fire more then 3 long-ranged dashes and having the power to make a mini ult with her slash (similar to freja and her "So cooked" power) or having a item tracking the enemies with a "scent trail" which when she's on the run she becomes much faster like a true gladiator.
Sorry guys im really nerdy when it comes to this stuff like I was SUPER EXCITED for pve and it's endless array of perks and builds for each hero but it sadly got canceled but im so happy stadium fixed that problem.
I can also see Widow having a power where during her ult she freezes a enemy in place giving her a easy target to headshot (basically her Medusa power from season2)

That... is demonstrably false though Certainly not all the builds on the website are good but as I told someone else: I specifically am talking about the discord server and less so the published builds on the website. There's a bunch of regular discussion for each character about various power/item interactions, powerspikes for differing build paths on maps, team comp synergies/the lack thereof, and experimenting with different playstyles. A good portion of the people who do post builds there have verified where they are in Stadium and/or Standard Competetive and their winrates, heck some even do round breakdowns. Stadium rank might be meaningless due to the shoddy mmr of the mode but having a high wr% at least demonstrates whether a build is functional or not.

Powers are pretty bad and overall just explodes, and every character can buy reflex coating which basically nullifies your rocket punch. But if ur a cracked doom, u can really make use of the small bits of survivability doom can get here and there from stadium like from lumerico/cushioned/life steal. and the uppercut, even if the uppercut damage scales poorly its an option there for u for playmaking

That definitely sucks, cause I do think I'm very skilled in stadium. It feels like a chess match in a way, trying to predict what your opponents gonna do, how to build around and against that, and overall adding a new dimension of gameplay from normal Overwatch. your goal as a tank in general should be not to fight the other tank directly. especially if its a doom. keep them in mind but you will never catch them so look for kills on other targets. if you can stick the doom with a knife wait to pull until he jumps to ruin it

if the doom refuses you leave you alone thats good for your team since in theory they should be unchallenged but pick up a cushioned padding or equivalent to sustain yourself

Not your priority to fight him. early game you can use reflex coating to nullify the damage of the punch and try your best to hold onto space for your team. Later on you buy jet skates and you make the enemy backline your target. it does mean you’re leaving your team for dead but thats the best plan to win here, and everyone can be built to be survivable or escapable in stadium so they shouldnt have problems

pretty bad overall and ap is unplayable, but i get good results playing flank reaper with jet skates and silent as the grave power

makes you completely silent and you can walk or tp behind someone and dink them in the head

and then dash to the next support

sticking to building ability power and beefing up your torpedoes is a safe choice if ur just starting out

if ur coming over from normal ow as a juno demon you should definitely pick the crit buffs, triple glide boost, and gun ppl to death

best advice is to start in quickplay and go to comp once you know how to actually play the character

there are some character specific items like sig/ori/genji all have items to help them with beam characters (moira/zarya/etc)

Basically, just learn the mode before touching comp cause theres 0 matchmaking and people are sweaty

if youre bronze, you get queued with allstars/legends -_- no remorse from the game

Honestly what I do is just go on youtube and search up the #1 build for the hero I wanna play then copy that straight off. Once you become comfortable with whatever it does, then you can start thinking for yourself (like, are you losing to flying characters? pick the anti-flying skills, etc)

My honest thoughts so far are that Stadium isn't quite as fun as regular quickplay, but that 4× challenge progress bonus for a win is sure a helluva drug.
