#One prompt now creates 4 separate entries of 1 images

I believe this was done on purpose and a couple of people have put in suggestions that it should be an option to separate each image in the batch like that
It does not seem to be optional. It's a pain in the rear end.
@dawn spire one creation with no option to join or separate goes into 4 different entries. With a few days I'll be incapable to locate what I created yesterday. It's crazy
@dawn spire is there any way I roll back to the previous version?
On IOS it's not possible after updating (sadly for me) but I'm not sure if it's possible to get an older version of the app on android. This feature isn't a thing on the web version they're all together in the batch if you do it in the website
It's both on iOS and android. For the time being this is the new normal.
At first I was upset about it, too. You get used to it rather quickly and hopefully they will make it optional in the future.
The good thing about this is that you now have 4 images to publish instead of a collection, which can save a lot of credits.
If you make art on the web version you will still get the groups, by the way
It should default to normal. I see no point in being forced into separating art like that. I never used the web version before, I guess I'll start now.
I think we should have the choice to group or not group variations
@plucky fjord the option to separate after the fact would be great.
I think 95% of the time I like them grouped. But sometimes the AI gives me one great result that doesn't match the rest and I'd like to push it apart.
I won't know before it happens.
Agreed
Thanks, it works on the Web version, all in one creation. It's not convenient very much. They really should fix it.
Like I said, it's not a bug, it's a feature 😉
@plucky fjord features don't scare users away 🤷🏼♂️
I don't like this feature.
Okay, please get rid of this feature. It keeps crashing my app.
This new feature sucks. My app is constantly crashing, images are repeated and overriding other images, images from one folder spill over into another folder. Whose bright idea was this? It stinks!
I don't know if it's because of new feature, but I also have similar problems. My app was crashing today. If I would go on my published images and press on one of creations the app will close on me. If I go on my old 4 image creations and press on them app will freeze. And I have question: How many images would recommend to keep in folder?because if I scroll in folder some images would be missing and when you scrolled down images that don't belong to folder appear.
Please open a new Post for this problem
OK, I will 🫡
I think for me it would work if in the creations section, the creations are kept in a set with the possibility to publish them separately, then appearing as individual creations on the profile page while keeping the set in the creations section.
It is just getting way too full with the separated images and now there is no way of publishing sets anymore :(
@plucky fjord when I open new Post is asking me to tag I am not sure who should I tag? And should I open separate one for folder issue , because I am planning just copy text
Folder thing seems to be a different bug tbh. Tags would be which phone you have, so iPhone or android
@plucky fjord Thank you. Got it. I guess i will be doing separately
I'd really like it if implemented that way.
Today I tried to cope with this new feature. Went ahead and created 5 or six prompts.
I can't even see my first creation of today in the main page, it's lost in "my creations" under heavy scrolling because of the 30+ entries.
We also see posts being diluted in the threading view of people's creations, that keeps way too little amount of creations compared to the massive number of postings, that is quadrupled with this "feature" (bug)
This "feature" stinks, at best. Please change its implementation.
I agree with majority of posts here that image expansion clutters everything, causes endless scrolling, and is a regression in usability. Please get rid of it or make it optional.
Not a bug, but this is a common feedback from users, iv'e documented this. Maybe we can bring it back to how it was originally
If it is not a bug then it is a (very) bad design.
When users all consider it a bug, regardless of intention while developing, it isn't a "feature". 🤷🏼♂️
Please get rid of it. Make the implementation better. Make it separable after generation, optional. The idea isn't bad per say, but the implementation is less than ideal.
I'm purposely not updating because of this. Just FYI
Thank god that my Tablet didn't auto update itself. So turned off auto update just for this.
I did something really stupid. Made a folder called Bad Idea. Made 10 x 8 and now I have 80 pictures in one folder. That is horrifying.
Maybe the split could also be zoom dependent. If you zoom to the deepest level, creations are separated, when you zoom out, it gets grouped. And on the profile you see it the way it was published, either grouped or separated.
This means that publishing needs to have the option to work on group level as well as per image. The current image carousel would need to include the individual title and publish option to allow for separate publishing.
Something like that :)
I know why they did this. Now you have enhanced and upscaled side by side to swipe left whereas before you had the cluster of 4 side by side to swipe left.
I do like the easier availability of the tool variations, but they didn't realize the scroll load is increased 4X
Perhaps they should make the enhance and upscale swipe up/down and leave batches clustered
I'm not gonna update for a while until they undo it or make it optional or do something to make it more user friendly. Yup
@tawdry delta that's why I'm counting my blessings with the tablet because god damn. I actually got the overload server warning during this process.
Yay for small miracles! Lol
I second this, since implementing this “Feature” I’ve had lots of crashing and long delays that cut require constant force quits and restarting. As far as improving this feature; If we could separate older images (at no cost of credits of course) or conjoin the newer images it might not bother me as much.
The 'Your Recents' panels have been flashing on and off, (blank box and image) and it hangs the app...on Android tablet
I assume what you report is related to https://discord.com/channels/948517879756759051/1206919503070498866 if not, you should open a separate bug report for it
I hate it. I want my pics grouped most of the time. That’s too much scrolling through things. Like, I have wanted it to be separate for some things, but most things I want grouped. 😑
This s currently not a bug, each generation generate 4 images but now they are no longer grouped.
Its a 'Feature' but we are looking in to potentially reversing this feature and returning back to grouping
Yay
Yes, please reverse this "feature". It has made no improvements and has only succeeded in making the app less functional, causing a myriad of issues in several areas.
Yea I agree to do don't worry, I'm taking all the feed back seriously
I know it is not behaving badly, and thus not a "bug" on a programmatic level. It is indeed working just like programmed.
But this "infeature" infuriates users, and aggravates usage.
In programmation, something the repels users should indeed be called a bug. Bad design needs fixing.
It is not a feature if people don't want it.
Best would be the ability to separate selected image from a group on demand a posteriori. Everyone would be happy.
This 'Feature' will be reverted
👍 👍 👍 👍 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
Am I the only one who really wants the option to publish separately? I obviously understand why the current implementation is annoying people, but I don't think the idea behind it is a bad one. If there is a way to implement this in a less in-your-face manner, I really hope this will be done. I was spending so many credits to separate images 😥
Do we know what release it will be reverted in?
2.6.4
Thank you
We are looking in to a solution to appease everyone, but because the vast majority wanted grouped we'll have to go with that.
Maybe we can add an option to enable or disable it.
I can see that
Then rather posting all once. Why not have all of them unselected from start: tap the ones you want post or select all like before?
It's better than the app overloading itself by accident.
Not to be pushy, but when will it be reverted? The app has been a pain in the ass since that feature debuted.
App is in process of being reviewed and will be pushed today hopefully or tomorrow and become globally availiable within the week
Thank god the new update fixes this horrific bug.
haha glad you like the reversal, but it was an intended feature
its been reversed 🙂
The feature may have been a good idea, but the implementation was wrong.
Intended or not the result was negative to the experience.
One can say as many times as he wants it is a feature, if people stop using the app, it remains wrong.
Just saying.
No i agree with you, i my self was against it.
But the community spoke and we took action
I agree with you. Having the option to separate post generation would be awesome.
Exactly. A good idea implemented possibly in haste. I'm optimistic that they'll clean up the execution and give it another go
Noooooooooo! I thought it was safe to update. It updated to 2.6.1. Android user.
I'm on Android and got all the way up to the fix. Try again maybe?
Seems to be Location. Mine says most recent Feb 19. So it'll show up soon
Roll out* I should say
2.6.4 will be global soon
Sweet. Thank ya
When you live in an area so remote the software updates are late 😅🤣 joking.
Shouldn't be too long, good luck getting it soon.
For me you always have to wait 6-7 days
Pop the champagne everyone! We got the 8 pictures back in one!! 🍾
yeah, I wish they'd go back to the older way of doing it or at least make it an option. The app doesn't do great at loading images (it often gets stuck) so making each image a single one just makes that issue so much worse.
are you writing about version 2.6.4?
LOL ignore me! Apparently not! I must have missed the last update!
