#FISH FORM

Bonus points if they include customization similar to aow3 nagas
Just ignore the nipple armor
100% this, please! Aquatic theme would be so cool
Pretty sure when they tackle water gameplay next season or after the will be some now aquatic form coming with it. As lizard and toad are already done, something fishy or maybe turtles( my favorite but see those turtle shells clipping already, so fishy is more likely) is a pretty safe bet.
actually yes. They can recycle squid syrons while changing their faces
same with fishmen tho
MORE FISH IMAGES!!!
i know i only post darkest dungeon, but i love the fish people there
anyone know any good source of fish people?
The zora from LoZ I suppose
He doesn't look happy with this union. He should lure in someone else. || after all, there's plenty of fish.||
I agree that a fish with legs approach is where it's at
That said, I wouldn't mind a more anthro form that takes the Syron's fish inspiration and turns the knob up to 11
Zoras are love. Zoras are life. But I want fishmen so I can complete my deep ones and my Wc3 naga
Fins, gills, and fish-like patterns on the skin would be a fun direction for
Zoras look so elegant
i love this, my preference is a fish head, like frogs have frogs heads and bunnies have bunnies heads
the two pics that Reybag posted are the best examples as models for fish form in my opinion
I think this would really fit with a wider "water dlc" - as contentious as that topic may be
Alongside a culture that can exploit aquatic terrain, resources, wonders and maybe some tomes around "sinking the land"
Perhaps
There could be a justification for it in an astral themed DLC if they don't want to do anything with water of course
Honestly surprised we didn't get a turtle head for Lizards - though it leaves the door open for a proper turtle form

Just yesterday I had a similar thought lmao
If I remember correctly this has been brought up in a stream on an earlier dlc (or maybe I have read it on discord
) that the issue with a proper turtle carapace is clipping with all the various unit models. But yes I also would be in favor of that.
maybe we could get turtle humanoids units but i dont think it will be a form
Yeah I'm aware, I tried to give suggestions that would work around that constraint but I also don't want to hijack F E E S H thread so ..

If this comes with a dedicated water tome that doesn't turn me into a snake or an iceman, I can hang with the Ocean Man.
Bonus points if I can make Shark People.
ooh like a mermaid tail? Could even be two tomes, one Astral and Nature for Mermaid; one Astral and Chaos for Shark Tail (which could just be the mermaid tail reused and given a texture overhaul)
Not a bad idea. Although I'd wager a water tome would be Nature based than Astral Based. But There's already a lot of Nature tomes nowadays.
Yeah just realizing thag fish people, while being a super common fantasy, somehow aren't in the game yet!
But they could also fill the role of shark people too
Kinda like how lizardkin fills crocodile, chameleon, gecko, snake, and dragonborn
oh yes, i think its the best option to have different type of fish
we kind of got a "mermaid"
As soon as we get a water focused dlc. There is a lot of potential
Water city's
Terraforming spells that create land /water (maybe lava /void)
Water based tomes
Maybe a aquatic adaptation form?
Fish People?
They had ships and took them out bc they're unfun
That wouldn't count as cultural ships though, it was just the few same generic ships for every culture
also it could just be a model
for the ships we already have
instead of every one using the same ships every culture gets their own model
but since they will touch water again as Tomas I think said it should be fine
Not sure a new paint job would address the core problems with ships but this isn't the place for water debate.

I have a thread I opened up a while back but about this
I'm not really going to debate water at all, Just saying what they could do in ways that don't affect the gameplay, I'll just wait for whatever the devs will do since they already said they will touch it eventually in the future
Not affect gamepl-
I mean, just keep the skins for the different cultures, not affecting the gameplay would be fine for me.
Sea battles are OKAY.
did you really not understand what I mean by every culture getting their own model? I dont mean everyone gets one ship unit my man just a skin for the ships we already have in the game per culture
instead of all wood generic ships
Agree, though I hate how many things you can't do on water lol, so many spells/abilities that have no use there
It's an interesting handicap. If only we had something else to make water more interesting.
Like summoning squids, or dealing with mermaid dwellings, or sea-only hazards.
Something like a vortex or a storm you should dodge if you don't have the proper sailing skills.
Ohhhhhh you mean Embarked units
I thought you meant naval units, like actual ships produced only for water
I mean yeah, I'm fine with some cultural flavor for embarked units but I thought you were saying they should add cultural naval ships as recruitable units again
Nah I don't want those back, taking them out was the right decision
unless they really rework how they were back then
Agreed
like unless naval units have no upkeep at all why would i recruit them
Facts
Maybe they can summon other naval units. Or they're extra fast-sturdy vs ship units.
or have water camouflage and more movement speed
I admit, a Sea King ruler type would be AWESOME
It would be cool that they would settlement styles similar to what Aspect you've chosen. The few examples I can think of is if you chosen
or
you could perhaps get a coral reef style capital, while if you've chose
you'll have a Whalefall as your capital.
A Whalefall capitol is genuinely the most hauntingly badass thing I've ever heard.
I thought a Whale fall would be a better idea instead of say, a Trench of sorts? Mostly because it's a lot more interesting an if we're thinking that
fish-folk would be base on deep sea fish, then Whalefalls would be the best idea as they attract huge amounts of wildlife, as well as going years or even a whole decade or two to fully decompose.
great news, next season we are getting changes too water
it was in today age of wonder 4 anniversary dev diary
if this mean a water dlc, we need to push for fish form more than ever
my gilled friends,Let's make ourselves heard!!!!
Yea more water fantasy would be awesome. One tome that lets you have a snake tail (or rather naga tail) is not enough for me 😄
IT'S TIME TO GET ABSOLUTELY SOAKED
Hopefully it comes with a sea battle rework. Maybe even cultural boat skins?
One thing Planetfall had that was cool was that every faction had their own boats
oops sorry didn't mean to @
clicked send too fast to realize it still had the @ on
No worries
I agree AOW4 factions having their own boats would be cool
I really only have like three hopes for a sea-based dlc.
1: Can I make Shark Pirates?
2: Can I remake The Shadow Over Innsmouth with weird aberrant fish folk and an Eldritch Ruler?
3: Can I make a Kuo-toa tribe?
If I can at least do two of these I'll be happy.
new primal faction: :
🐟
"All hail the Oceanic Oarfish Primal Spirit"
In game assets it would probably just the be an ethereal kraken but I thought the alliteration was nice
Why worship that when we can worship the Sunfish who is totally strong and definitely not just floating around aimlessly
You know the Eldritch dlc gave us two lifeforms with the Insect and the Syrons, I think it would be sick if for a water dlc we got Fish and Crustaceans. Returning to Crab would be fun.
Crab species with a bunch of Scrap Hermits as their Frontline
Materium
based Long Crustaceans.
Aka Rock Lobsters
Perfect idea for the future sea free update / DLC.
I need proper dagon worshipping horrible fish men
