I think it would be interesting to add curse items to the game items with strong benefits but with a debuff like, a ring with +4 magical resistance but you lose the -4 physical resistance or stronger magical attack but less range

could be really annoying to deal with since we already have so many items in the loot pool, but it's something that has potential for sure
as long as it doesn't disturb too much current item drops
could straight up be a advanced rng crafting system where you can corrupt a item you already own and get random effects
prolly make it toggleable on and off
but idk if they wanna go like that
