Personal opinion here but as someone who enjoys building my factions with personality and a story, I gain a sense of accomplishment with ascending champions who have encapsulated the theme i was running them with.

In a recent match I wanted to build a zealous nation of religious fanatics, blessed by the holy light of an insane and unappeasable monarch. The kind of people who seem perfect to themselves but see only flaws in others, their golden armor hiding their inhumane nature. I was disappointed when the golden armor effect of anointed people was over-written by Demonkin.

What if I wanted to build a race of Fallen angels, armor blackened by their descent? My point is it limits players abillity to play into a theme and i think that is one of the best things about AoW4

I'm not sure if the other major transformations have a similar effect but it would certainly be good/better if they don't.

Demonkin needs the toggle to disable it like angelize only recently got. Keeping the wings but removing all other changes

You can turn off the angelic glow from the spellbook, in case you didn't know. You can switch tabs there. All active transformations and enchantments have a button for it to hide them.

Demonkin is one of the few that doesn't. Angels used to not have it either

Demonkin and gloomstriders are left with that. Gloomstrider gives dark skin and smoke, Demonkin - red eyes and in general that unholy vibe.
Nagas don't have anything attached, so nothing to change there.
And other can be turned off.
