#Fox Folk race (kitsunes with dual pistols and sniper rifles)

why foxes should be stuck with dog instincts mechanics?
surely you can just change the form traits?
With what?
why did you create that question twice?
fox are smaller, more evasive ninja or more tricky tactics
I could imagine going more elusive, quick reflexes on foxes though yea, and maybe more of the adjacency bonus stuff about staying together on wovles, dogs though yea
maybe the default traits could vary based on head
you got all traits you could want for that
just gotta choose 'em
is different, one is specific for empire and ashes style
I also think dual pistols/snipers might be too high tech for this game tbh - though maybe dual light crossbows or oversised magelock/crossbow might be fun on a tome unit ๐
Primal Fury suggestion, I also point to three big races
personally, I think a fox head would fit best in a canine form though (could go with wolf, gnoll, hound), and you'd make foxes by turning the physique slider down and picking thematic form traits
I prefer concept of dwarf beast races: furret, small cat, fox, red panda, spider monkey could work too.
I feel like the way they implemented it actually fits, tho I agree with another post that having them stuck to a culture doesn't feel right
and separated medium and big races: wolf, dog, mammoth folk, deer folk, saber tooth folk.
bit off topic, but I like what they've done too - but I think another tome unit with magelocks would be neat (though thats what mods are for :D)
I like the idea of a tiny animals race for furrets, red pandas, squirrels .etc would work, with halfling sized proportions by default (and would also fit with the fey theme of Primal Fury). I'd just personally put foxes as canine subcategory
- don't know if you've seen them, but you might like the Therians in one of the DLC of Age of Wonders: Planetfall: https://minionsart.github.io/aowp/Pages/Units/TherianUnits.html
I hope in age of wonders 4 is the whole race, not just a unit
I dislike the idea of playing foxes mixed with wolves
foxes are more like cats both in genes and mindset
the multiple heads should work like the lizard and avian ones - if you pick fox head your whole race would be foxes, not mixed in with the other choices too ๐ (like how if you pick the skink head, you don't get crocs mixed in)
ok
I would also like cats with fluffy tails like foxes ๐ฆ thats is also a reason why I want them together
I like this kind of cat foxes, cute, not just the large one
you raise an interesting point - if they did add a race with a tail slider for different appearances, perhaps it might be something that could be retroactively added to feline form
compare the first picture to this, not the same quality or endearing immersion
as you see, foxes and small cats should be introduced separated from the rest, as dwarf beasts, no other solution
also if foxes are made into small race, desert foxes would be in too, its so cute it would make a lot of us very happy
What mechanics? Form is just cosmetic?
Smoke and Mirrors, each turn they may overperformed the previous turn, with a 30% chance, in the second turn is revelaed they visually did something better than expected in the previous turn, including faking deaths in combats (they visually return from death), or faking damage than they did evade, if they didn't get damage in the previous turn they did aim in the previous turn and now has accuracy bonuses to do hit and to do critical damage. This race has a lower number per unit and low grow rate but each turn has a chance to have overperformed the previous turn also their cities production and magic investigations.
Smoke and Mirrors could have an array of effects than only trigger one effect randomly per turn
