This happen(ed/s) to me a lot lately... I'm afraid to put in more increasingly scarce becoming materials. I wanted to build a Z80 wing. Mostly of steel, but its internal components would be copper. I already had 3 of those installed. When completed the wing looks different. Certain parts that are copper coloured on the other 3, are having a colour more corresponding with the rest of the wing(steel/iron?!?). When I dismantle I get Iron and steel back...6 bars less than was needed to create the wing. On top of that...I didn't put in any iron. Same thing happened with the building of only 2 engines, both built with the exact same materials but different in appearance, and upon dismantling resulting different materials compared to those used. For the time being I hope my ship does not get destroyed or something, because it'll be a pain to rebuild....
#Not built the wing I was hoping for....

You need to have double what you need to make the materials stick. It's tied to how they have changed material usage to stop a infinite crafting exploit where you can make infinite of something for no cost.
