I seem to be stuck at this upper section of the mansion island... I believe it to be bugged as I have combed across the whole island multiple times over and cannot seem to find any switches or triggers that were not activated. This switch next to the door in the screenshot won't open the door no matter what I do.

Go around the outside and look through the window - shoot the switch you see. Middle window was the easy one to shoot from. It'll open up after.

Also: Use the chimneys, going down them can allow you to access rooms previously inaccessible
It’s also one of those dumb things we’re activating a hidden switch on one side of the map will open a hidden door on the other side with no indication, so unfortunately, you will have to re-search the entire island every time you find something new

Not broken, did the entire thing, just really annoying with secret passages left right and center
To turn on the switches, take the staircase, or grapple down to the docks, in between the two doors of the docks there is a room full of crystals
There is an electric pylon puzzle hidden in the broken machinery of that room, complete it, and the first switch should be unlocked
From there, it is a matter of clearing out the manor while looking for switches, both obvious and hidden, through windows, hidden platforms, down chimneys, behind furniture, etc, one switch/ puzzle will lead to the next, until the entire manor is clear, it’s annoying as there is little to no indication on what switch unlocks what, but it is entirely doable

Yeah I'm not a fan of these hidden switches with no apparent clue to where or what I need to do except explore every single inch of a island.
Need more clever puzzles, brainpuzzles not just time consuming ones.

id already done that, the one where you use the electrical grapple wire on the 5 pillars, but that didnt turn any of the switches

There are a lot of switches, it probably just turns on one you haven’t found yet, it’s been a bit since I did that puzzle, but I think it turns on the switch for the hidden room under the balcony?
There are a lot of hidden rooms, so if you can’t find the switch, just keep looking, it took me hours to clear it, and there were many, many moments where I thought I had found everything only to find something else
Remember to check all the windows, chimneys & balconies, many rooms can only be accessed from outside the mansion, not from within
