#Quests sync with players

Quest is a character save not a world save
we also had a problem with this that resulted in a character's quest progress becoming stuck:
- A friend and I had already done the tutorial and started a new world and we went through just the first room where you get the pistol
- Another friend joined the game with a new character and passed the pistol room, not triggering the quest progression, going straight to where the grapple was
- Later they went back to the pistol area and progressed the quest to where they were supposed to pick up the glider, which was no longer there
- Starting a new world at this point also didn't work as the grapple was not on the ground
Glider isn't picked up, it's crafted they can take the glider off their back and have it in their inventory the quest will update.
Same with anything that is asking for a databank scan. doesn't matter which databank only that a databank is scanned
er sorry not glider but grapple
They can do that same this
A lot of Lost skies quests at the moment is triggered by items or zone pick ups
I told them to drop it and pick it up but they may not have followed instructions in that regard if that does indeed trigger it
regardless it would make more sense if it can trigger with it already equipped
It would do but this is a demo and while most bugs were probaably fixed in closed testing a lot more were probably found then they expected when made public
After all you can code for every possiblity until someone ends up finding an edge case you never thought about
I'm currently doing some clean up with the quests, especially in multiplayer scenarios. It should detect items the player has equipped for stuff like grapple
yea I mean its not a huge deal but it was just confusing and a bit frustrating for this total noob
