Additionally look at all the horror games after silent hill 2 trying to chimp the idea of "all in le head" endings where it being psychological instead of actually demons trivializes the whole experience. The idea of "everything needs to have a message" is a disease that has been eating art alive since the 1930's. horror should be horror because it is scary, not because it is a satire, in the same vein that art should be art because it is visually beautiful not hinging entirely on a "message".
