the teams i gave you are for defense, although they can be used for attack if they match who they facing

on a very generic approach, you want to 2RL noah against enemy scarlet or instant nukers, while you want to indom or 2RL scarlet against enemy lacking anti nuke or stall

but forcing players to account for variables is not necessarely RNG, an expert player can still predict what may or may not be there, which is sort of part of pvp

or rather, that's where you test if player is good or just throwing things randomly

the other no brainer fix would be to kill gemming altogether, 2 attack loses in a row, you're locked from fighting same opponent for 24hrs

and remove ratting/sniping by adding a 4hrs grace where only the one attacked can attack back and only once
