It recongizes when i offset myself 90° to the right of my playspace
the nwhen i turn back to my PC , it dosen't track anymore
really odd stuff.
Is this when you are actively scanning your room or with an already made map/scan?
i already scanned my room 4 times , nothing seems to really help the issue
it's when i uh
boot them up
or just restarting them after an issue
i strongly believe in this technology but it's a bit frustrating to fiddle with if i'm gonn abe honest 😅
Do you have consistent lighting in your room?
Is there anything too bright that could be causing glare in the lenses?
Are there any reflective surfaces that the tracker could be picking up?
- yes , i have my lightbulb on , sure it's more of an....orange lightbulb
- i'm not sure. what could cause that ? bottles ?
- reflective surfaces shouldn't be in the sway
Direct view of extremely bright lights, mainly the bulbs themselves.
For example, not exactly the same but one of the lampshades for my lamp broke. It causes some tracking issues for both my VUTs sometimes along with some of my headsets I use.
oh well my light bulb is quite..... bright yes
but it's worked fine before , on day one
Is it only one of your trackers having an issue or all of them?
all of them , unfortunately
Have you already attempted to remap your room at all?
One last thing quickly
sure
Make sure there isn't too much sunlight leaking in as that can cause issues with mapping or tracking.
If you make a map with sunlight, it usually will not track when it is dark out or the light is blocked, from my experience. That's if you can get a good map when you have sunlight glaring in your room as it also can cause issues with tracking in general.
As well, if you scanned without much or any sunlight, it could cause issues with tracking when there is too much sunlight in your room.
Personally, when I'm in VR, I usually close my blinds.
It doesn't matter if it's a minor amount, it just can't be the main thing lighting your room or generally that bright.
yeah , i have my blind slal teh way donw with no sunlight coming in
whenever im in vr
Also make sure you are using the same lighting that you used when you mapped your room originally. In the past, turning off lights that were originally on during the scanning of my room causes issues.
Turning on lights that weren't on has not caused issues for me yet.
But I doubt it's lighting related because it's only when you are looking at that specific area.
Just still good to know though.
thanks for all the advice! i just remapped again and it seems to work fine- if i've reaed correctly there is some kind fo AI that leanrs how your room works over time , correct ?
It slowly corrects and refines the map overtime, though if you change enough in the room it can cause issues.
