So I’m making this again-
No matter what tracker it is a third one WILL NOT connect and if it does the others turn off and tell me to move around to wake them up yet it never works.

3 3.0 Trackers

Are all three dongles connected? Just making sure.

#

Go to SteamVR hamburger menu -> Create system report

On there, on the devices tab, you should be able to see three dongles under the first device listed, similar to this.

#

You can see the dongle serial numbers there.
A bit further down in the same tab, you can see all of your connected trackers. make sure they are all listed there and that they all have their own dongle that they are paired to.

#

I highlighted where it tells you which dongle that specific tracker is paired to

#

What you describe would hint towards two trackers paired to the same dongle, and each dongle can only handle a single tracker each.

#

And I am specifically mentioning this because pairing two devices to a single dongle is something that is possible.
The tracker tunes in to the dongle serial number, not the other way around.

#

I would try a clean re-pair of all three trackers.

#

It's also in theory possible one of your dongles is damaged/defect or not properly registering correctly through USB, but in that case, you would not even be able to pair a third tracker at a time.

When you pair them, make sure the other two trackers don't disconnect. If there is a device paired, you cannot accidently pair something else with a running connection.

#

If one of your dongles is damaged or not properly connected, you are only going to see "Dongle version:" Pop up twice, and in this case, you will need another dongle. (Try some other USB ports before to make sure it's not a usb issue. use the cradle/cable included by HTC)
