My vive xr elite was working fine but today I turned it on and it booted up correctly but now it's just stuck loading forever, I can hear all the music but I can't see sense there is a loading screen, my lights are on and bright so it can't be that my room is too dark

mine did this a few days ago, only way to fix it was to factory reset..
just before it got stuck with the perpetual loading on boot, it seemed that the cameras used for tracking your position just stopped functioning. i had rotation but no directional motion.

That usually happens when your input of power is not enough to maintain function
Is the craddle battery plugged in, and is it charged ?

It has a battery cradle yes and it is charged but also I use the recommended charger so it doesn't die while I'm playing

No I plug the cradle into the headset
Then I plug the charger into the cradle
And before you ask, I did try to plug the charger directly into the headset
