we've got some generally standard words for different things, and then we combine them in increasingly obtuse ways.
The most common shortcut for this is [first syllable of first word] [everything but the first syllable of second word]

I think this originated from b-hop as a tech name

but there's just, a lot of combination of tech names,
Corner jump - cump
Corner boost - coost
Corner kick - ckick
wallboost - woost
Puffer boost - Foost (Fish Boost)
Midair super - Muper
Demo Hyper - dyper
Dream Hyper - dryper
Grounded Ultra - Gultra
Chained Ultra - Chultra
These are some of the COMMON ones

Because we're sickos, we started combining these together even further:
Corner boost Wall boost -> cobwob (this is from an archaic "cobnob" + woost," making it a unique tech name)
Cassette Boosted Feather Super -> cassoosted fuper
