• the dialogue chosen to voice act is odd, unimportant dialogue will have VO and important dialogue will be left alone

• EVERY sprite completely flips horizontally even when it’s really important that it doesn’t ||i didn’t notice treble had an arm missing until a character pointed it out because he flips and the arm side is always facing the camera. also the first time you see the HARM logo it’s on Crest’s sprite and he’s flipped so it looks like that’s just the logo||

my biggest gripes are definitely the charts and the camera

the charting is pretty poor and the camera never moves smoothly

also the performance is really bad but whatever, thats just playing video games on release in 2025

all this adds up to a game i like but dont love

i do agree with the pacing to an extent, it does kind of cut between things randomly, and it could take me a moment to figure out.. where i am and whats happening
i cant speak on the shadows or performance because i only played on ultra and never really had problems?
the text box overlap for me personally i thought was okay because it never just fully overlaps, it only overlaps when its showing that the character is being interrupted by someone, and cut off

and yeah i also did really like the charting, i thought it was a chaotic fun kind of charts, and the camera, while i do partially agree, i found it was kind of mimicking beat herself, if no notes were nearby, it would kind of zip back and forth while beat was looking back and forth, seeing where the next silence or attack was coming from, for me that honestly immersed me, even if it was..pretty confusing

and it would kind of snap around as attacks came from multiple directions, which did make things harder to follow, but it felt kind of on purpose to feel like you are being attacked, and didnt take me out of the experience at all

|| I think the world technically is real? we see quaver at the end looking at a tag that says "Hi my name is UNBEATABLE", I think Beat just leaves it once she wakes up. It's very bittersweet, for sure, but it's a game about loss and all that. I think it's meant to show how Beat left an impact on her life, as the two have very similar lives; they both lost their moms and all. To me it felt like a "I will never forget this moment" for the both of them, I think the world might have BEEN fully real. And maybe it is just in Beat's head, but even so I think it's still a "real" world.||

I gotta say i absolutely adore unbeatable story/music/visual design, but I dont think I enjoy it as a score chase rhythm game haha

I dont like the lack of visual clarity in harder songs, side swapping gives me brain problems

Which is a bummer because I think the rest of it is 10/10
