osu is in an interesting predicament where it’s the most popular pc rhythm game due to its lack of friction (streams are basically the only real tech in the game) but also has the highest mapping skillcap due to the possibilities of the 2d plane
so theres insane tension between mappers and players that u dont see anywhere else
new players want 40 second farm diffs and anime songs with no 1/4 and mappers want to get even more expressive and keep building (for better or for worse)
im interested to see how this program affects that

if the song sounds like it won't play out in osu, it probably won't work well with the tool
and some songs that have potential can sometimes be very underwhelming
however a lot of them can be tweaked and fixed, which makes me wonder if something like that could actually end up making mapping slightly better ?

The 3rd one is obnoxious though because the only significant differences is the color of the attacks and they’re all pastel colors so it’s really hard to tell quickly cause they’re not very distinct
I’m sure there’s a colorblind mode but I’m not colorblind so it felt like cheating lol
