Dublin team assemble!
๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฅ
Awesome ๐ me either
Hopefully see you there! If you're just visiting the city for the first time and need any help or advice or whatever, just give me a shout anytime ๐
Thanks you soo much
I'm so looking forward to this one
Yeah i cant wait. Have the whole day planned oyt already and its still 2 months away ๐
Like what kinda places are you interested in, and i can recommend you a load ๐
I live in the city centre, so i basically know every brick of the place ๐
How long will you be staying for?
Im only stay for one night , since im student photography is there any place that is a good place to photograph?
Grafton Street area for shopping, Temple Bar and the Ha'penny Bridge fir mandatory touristy sights, Trinity College, Dublin Castle, St. Stephen's Green, Government Buildings/Merrion Square, Custom House for impressive classical buildings, the docklands slightly past that for more modern architecture, bridges and river views ๐
All National Museums/Galleries/Libraries are free to enter too if you find yourself with spare time.
Oh, and for a great site that is really overlooked (literally), i really recommend the viewing platform at the top of the old Jameson distillery chimney in Smithfield for great panoramic views of the city, great for photography.
This is from my visit a few months back ๐
Waawww that is so beautiful, will like go to there.
Thank you so much for your help
Price is only โฌ5 (about ยฃ4) so its a really budget friendly activity to do too, should be a lot more famous! Definitely a hidden gem. Can book a time to go up online ๐
Need anything else, just holler!
It'll be my first time in the venue but second time seeing Sigrid, and it'll be my friends first time for both
You've never been to the Olympia before? ๐ฎ
It's a beautiful old venue. She played there before in 2018, but yeah that was a while back now!
You standing or sitting? ๐
Yeh i never been in venue and in in standing area
My favourite picture I've taken of the Olympia, it's actually the stained glass canopy at the front standing entrance on Dame Street ๐ You'll spend a lot of time looking up at this venue, at the chandaliers and plasterwork etc.
When you go in you'll pass the merch stand on the right, the cloakroom a little further on the left and then down the corridor you'll emerge inside the auditorium.
The bar should then be at the rear of the room should you want to grab a drink or whatever.
Lots and lots of great places to eat and drink around the area beforehand too! Just avoid the more obvious touristy pubs around Temple Bar, unless you like taking out mortgages to pay for your drinks ๐
First time I saw her was her first 3 Arena show in 2019, I'm standing
I was supposed to see AJR in that venue but I couldn't get anyone to tag along with me
That is sooooo beautiful

Does anyone have any idea what time people will be lining up for doors at?
There will likely be a small number arriving around 2-3 hours before doors, but people won't start in any significant number until around 1-1.5 hours before.
I was there just under three hours early and was between 3rd and 6th for my shows, IIRC
Okay, I really hope to get barricade
While I don't know the venue, I'd suggest getting there by 4.30 to be comfortable
I'm a photographer like you so fingers crossed I can get barricade
Im normally first in line but this group os making it difficult
I'll still be queuimg early, but maybe half fivish?
Worst case you should be second row, based on what I've seen
Its a pain trying ro organise so many newbies tbh ๐ was first row for wvery other Sigrid gig
Abandon them? ๐คท
Even by going that early i'll be abandoning 3 of them, they just want to driink ๐๐
Sounds like you're better off without those ๐
Theyre my sisters, i'll just end up in trouble ๐๐
Ah, yes, that makes it more problematic
Currently outside the venue, there's a decent crowd already
A rough estimate on numbers may be helpful?
Similar to other shows then ๐
I don't think I will every get barricade to any show I am far too lazy for that. The only time I got barricade for a concert was by accident
I am still on the damn train
Which station are you arriving into?
Ahhh the unmistakable blue hue of the Cork trains Mk.IV carraige โบ๏ธ
Have you dragged the entourage there now?
Arrived into Heuston and got the Luas to Jarvis
Pre concert snack
It's actually an all right train, the enterprise from Dublin to Belfast is every man for himself
True!
Have a great time everyone who's going!
Does anyone know the price of pints in this venue? I have never bought anything in previous times but I am feeling pinty tonight
I heard they're Dublin the prices apparently
I first read that as just 'dublin prices' which is what I say for when things are expensive lol
Think its like 8.50 a pint
Sondre and Sigri just passed
Parisians : "First time?"
There is NO merch ๐ฑ
maybe after? ๐ฎ
Nope. None.
Was told they didnt bring any ๐ must be completely sold out since Manchester
well, enjoy still ! merch is merch , the show is always better ๐
EIGHT EURO TWENTY FOR A rockshore ๐คข cider
Yup
Does anyone know if they do merch as i cant see it by walking through?
Apparently there isn't any tonight
I got some form of barricade
the place does look really nice
Ahh Rockshore Cider isnt the worst
How you know ??
Refreshingly Irish,......
Somebody said in earlier chat
I spy with my little eye... some prick in a Rockefeller shirt ๐
I went out and asked them
Must be sold out? The answr i got was "Yeah its very strange... but they didnt actually bring any!"
Like after tour
At least it will save me from spending money
Lol
They saw the price of drinks , they were like shhhhhhsss xd
They knew the Irish would be buying drinks instead
I went for a dander
Now standing in the bar because my hands are cold from carrying my overpriced pint
no upper decks? ah front yeah
Unless it couldn't come across on the ferry for some reason?
could be, they traveled fast
free promo

You think they will put on online later like after tour finish so then is fairs ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Maybe they will, I know loads of other artists that have done that. Florence and the machine did it a couple days ago
If there are leftovers, they may as well try to sell them online ๐คท
Minigrid says hello!
Some shots from Etta Marcus opening for Sigrid, these are unedited so I'll probably post the edited versions tomorrow sometime when I get around to editing them
What did you think of her set?
Very good actually
I dont know if it was a venue requirement, earlier cut off time or whatever, but the set was short. Like 6 songs short.
That's really odd to lose a quarter of the set - I'm sorry
Could be that Sigrid's having trouble with her voice again, but she seemed fine in Manchester and Leeds
Yeah, i've no idea why. But it is what it is. It was still amazing. Just an hour long instead of an hour and a half.
Her voice was in great form otherwise, i dunno, its a strange one. A few days off before Glasgow too
My only other thought is equipment limitations with the ferry, depending on what was skipped. Do you know if the songs were on the printed setlist?
I was promised one but another knock down crew took over and handed them to others ๐
100% yes ๐ just wish it weng on longer!
That's a success in itself then!
I don't think it's a venue thing, I've been there loads of times and I'm pretty sure gigs would finish at around 10:30/11pm
Yeah ive done tons of shows there down througj the years
So its new to me too ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
Home to you?
Yeah it was the ballad section
Also quickly, does anyone know who the female photographer was tonight? I think she might have taken a really good photo of me just admiring Sigrid during the ballad section
Probably Charlotte https://www.instagram.com/charlottealex_/
She's not allowed to send anything out privately though
I figured, but I'll still keep an eye out
