Exuberance and exoskeletons. Morals— slaughter the strong, fortify the weak. At least until amnesia strikes down, keeling them all in half. A ship— national tragedy, but what a romantic story, so they forget. Forget, forget, forget, forget. Forget running through tomorrow-star meadows, forget toothy grins of a new day, forget who you are and where you are and where you've ever been. None of that matters now while we go around and around in the clock's ticking chambers, trapped until time decides to let us go— she never will, not until we are just another minute gone by— time has a habit of keeping what is hers. A father, crying, "Can I have a hug,". A girl, scared— emotionally intelligent but with nothing to do, so she leaves like she always does. Empty-shell promises to always come back. Believe that she'll keep them? Dream of the impossible, how quick was that! Exclaim towards the celestials, holding all the answers you seek, but they pay no mind to the passage of time's warm hands. Hack off the icy tip but it's the bottom that gets you; down too deep, strong enough to decimate even the behemoths of ideologies. Tearing down the highest of luxuries available, but it doesn't mean a thing until people can look at it with hearts in their eyes— then it becomes more valuable than any life. Fall into a stupor of stomach-ache sickness and hard, faraway carapaces. Keep yourself strong to protect the weak, only to have your feet taken. Swept out from under you by a lullaby-breeze. Aren't you out of your depth, little one? Nothing but endlessness can make you feel big. Drowning and there's no air to breathe, so you always give in. Built a shield and it turned into a story, look at that. The final product is raw and innocuous and it all comes to terms with the thuds of a hammering heart—
