Here lies realization

**I’m **the everlasting love that proves everyone wrong.
Sorry– for the words I say sounds untrue,
I, as the bearer of promises, have failed you.
Can’t even ask for more, let alone a truce
Change– is my last resort, but it’s too late. You’re gone.

Find the loverboy in me, for I have changed ever since.
Someone is there for you, and that someone isn’t me.
Better pack and leave, I’ve done nothing but break your peace.

**I’ll **stay, lingering around the words I said.
Do me a favor– occasionally, wear red.
Just smile and be pretty, I’m sure someone will see the
Fine baby that you are; you’ll always be my baby.

Because you deserve better, and that’s not me.
If I were to chase you– come a time I’ll push and flee.
You’re the cause of this dimple, it knows only your name.
Happy that I ever loved you, happy that you were once part of me.

I’m fine– I should be.
Happy thoughts will come surging, I promise.

I’m your baby– was and once your baby.
Sorry to ruin that word for you– cutie.

Nrupneel, the poem is really raw and full of imagery. I like it. As well as the vertical poem— it's like a secret messag one wants the other one to read within the whole chaotic yapping itself.
