I saw a place,
With an empty road.
It had a way in.
But not a way out.
As I wandered through the alleys
I sensed a presence.
A presence of Love.
A presence of Woe.
A presence of Emancipation.
A warmth pulsed through me
Followed by a sudden chill
As a figure stood in front of me
It seemed familiar and strange the same.
It came forward,
Took me in an embrace,
Which felt like rain gone dry
Its arms were shadows,
Brimming with light.
I closed my eyes in eagerness
But I only saw a light.
The light told that,
This is the place,
The place where I belong
But the one I could never reach.
...
The figure vanished without a trace
And I left with a troubled mind
Searching for troubled answers
But there was only a conundrum of silence
A voice reciprocated behind me
"You shouldn't be here..."
Said a songbird in a ravens voice
But I have to...
I walked and walked and walked
'Till I reached a cornerstone
A dreaminess befell me
As an aria sung by a siren
The world started to tilt
The sky fell apart
The fountain burst into flames
The sun turned night
But the light still remained
Brightening everything around it
But I was nowhere to be seen
Yet I was present everywhere
...
I woke up,
I woke up to a news,
The news,shocking
My hands, trembling
My eyes, twitching
My heart, dying.
The figure was now gone
But gone for good
It would return again
Just as a ghost of past
The past which was now converging
Converging to a point
And it burst like a supernova
With matter now acumulating in my eyes
The world stopped askew
The sky sown itself up
The fountain cooled down as ice
The sun again spred its might
Again I tried to return
To The Place Where I Belong
But now thw entrance was pushed open
With the entrance now shut off...
