T h e s h a d o w s l o o m e d
around the empty room,
As day surrendered to the deepening blue,
I watched the silver dust dance in such gloom,
Breathing the h o l l o w space
that speaks of you.
The wind...
became a chorus in the trees,
That of songs we used to dance to,
as gentle as it got,
It drifted upon the cool, forgiving breeze,
Leaving a **heavy **stillness
in the air.
I held my breath,
And listened to the
d a r k.
I traced our past in the constellations,
Searching for a single, lingering spark.
In a sky so quiet,
d e v o i d . . .
of you.
To this night
of solemn silence,
Acquainted with the gentle moonlight,
Melody after melody
I hummed slowly,
For I cried loudly on the inside,
To E T E R N I T Y ,
which is you.
