When my soul gapes at your awe,
I can’t help but shy off
You catch my gaze and my heart thumps at the beat of your pitch
You challenge me, praise me, enlighten..
making illusions seem so profound—not letting me know that
it’s only a matter of time until the whole charade dissipates
Within a flick of a second I turn my face from you
So I won’t be fooled but how can I, when you pursue me so, moon?
Really how can I? You’re only a figment of my grand illusion or dare I say.. imagination.

I think you should capitalize Moon, itll make the moon seem like more than just an object here i think

@split yacht well that’s just the point, the moon is an object that I’m romanticizing, precursor being that I have no pursuer which creates that achingly sweet melancholy. If I can’t properly show it then I failed you
