#The Monday Curse

I think I’m a Monday,
Because everyone hates me.
Every time I enter the room,
All the laughter just flees.
Nobody wants me around;
I’m seen as bad luck,
Wishing I were a Saturday,
To bring joy instead of yuck.

I’m the weight of the week,
The start of long chores,
The reminder of deadlines,
And the closing of doors.
While others laugh and play,
I’m the sigh before the day,
A shadow that lingers,
With no joy to display.

But why don’t you see,
Every day has its worth?
What if there were no Mondays?
Wouldn’t laziness birth?
Who will tend to the fields
If all are resting in bed?
Where will you go when you’re sick,
If the doctor’s away instead?

I know I’m a Monday,
But please don’t turn away.
I’m a part of the week,
I help pave the way.
So think of me kindly,
I have my own role too,
For without a Monday,
What would your week do?

Okay so this was my first ever poem that I documented... I just wanted to start by my oldest piece... Ik this is not perfect and I've gotten better over the years but as I wrote I wanted to start by my first ever poem
