sometimes I sit down in the shower
just letting it rain down my cheek
you'll still find me there in an hour
don't even have spirit to speak
the years have squirmed through my bloodstream
I feel new wrinkles for every day
I get burned by soft sunbeams
I'm baked in tears through every ray
my temperature's rising, I'll shiver for two
the child in me's ten years overdue
my afterbirth's wretched, it stinks of remorse
I'll stitch a new sonnet for each charted course
and what's left of me once I rot away?
I'll wipe off the water and sit through the spray
#sometimes I sit down in the shower

Good one. I like the ABAB in the start. And it became free verse in the end. I that intentional?
Doesnt matter
A good poem tho
I think it just changed rhyming patterns
