Is this going to be something epic in scale?
I'm only a fifth of the way done, so I suppose so.
What's it about?
An old war automaton that wakes up and wants to go home.
That a good concept. And genuinely, this is very good, at least to the mordern poems I read. I'm glad that you didn't take the free verse route for a poem this large, it gives the verse a definite structure. I've seen people give prose with line breaks as poems. But this is not that. This is fantastic.
Anything that inspired you?
I don't like war, and I think war machines deserve a story just like their human counterparts. A kind of story that outlives itself.
Cool, your prose are also quite good. It's already a fair and beautiful poem, but if you feel upon learning more of it then perhaps you can read other poems like Lamia by John Keats. It's also in the same AA, BB, rhyming verse.
