Amongst all the flowers of my sweet little garden, there is a little one who likes to cower.
He lives in the shadows of great oak tree, planted at the edge of the field.
Maybe he loves the company of my pet dog, for he enjoys the stories foretold by his sturdy jaw.
When the night falls the dog howls & the flower spurts.
My little one, is a mysterious guy, for he blooms only in the full moon sky.
The moonlight shines and the dead flower smiles.
For the day has come when he finally feels alive.
He remembers,
The fight of the Spartans, the sight of the slaughter.
The lies of Loki in eyes of Forseti.
The love of Romeo and sacrifice of Julie.
The portraits of Leonardo to statues by Angelo.
From discovery of new lands to the destruction of man.
His life was like a spoiled cake, but from afar; happiness pertained
As the dew descends, my boy ascends.
The petals open, with texture woven, while I am still frozen my heart it stolen.
The black petals with distinct lines, make my world feel more alive.
The pollen spreads, and the grasses wave, branches sway and my eyes fail.
The mist hovers over my flower garden while I enjoy the view from a perfect corner.
The day is near for the inevitable is here, standing right next to me waiting for him to be seen.
The little one and the dog stand there, while I take the guest, up here.
We sit near the fireplace, in its warmth while waiting for the coldness, to be bestowed upon.
Our guest was charming calm as a deer, for he never let us feel any ounce of fear.
I pour two glasses of wine like a philosopher in the lovely night, where only stillness lies.
Intoxicated by the talks we had, my body goes numb, while I suck my thumb, like a little lad.
And finally,
My heart is at peace and my soul is free, while the little one and the dog accompany me.
