Yeah, but in any form of poetry imagery is still a big part, especially in a narrative one, even especially in poetry
You have potential but yeah, its more prosaic, which is fine contemporary poets tend to do that. But Every line has to either work more than itself and serve others, or serve others that feels more than just itself

I've noticed this is also a confessional poem? From the label… I suggest you read plath, or Robert Lowell and Anne Sexton, their one of the pioneers of confessional modern poetry.
