Everyday I wake up early, make my breakfast and go to work
Again, I woke up early, I looked at lamp, it was on?
I started cooking breakfast and looked at the pan
There was bubbling of oil. It was bubbling lava pan

I pushed myself back, oh, it was nothing
I looked at walls, everything was normal
What was that, what had happened?

I sat down to eat the breakfast
I took my spoon towards cornflakes
The flakes turned into minions
Dancing in the bowl
They looked at me, come if you dare

I pushed the bowl, and it all spilled
What happened, what have I done?
The fridge suddenly laughed
It's door opened, it looked creepy

I ran to the washroom
Locked the door, I looked in mirror
My expression was of fear and dread
Walls were so empty and hollow
I looked in mirror again

My face changed the appearance
He had an eye that was bloodshot red
His nose was cut and drained of blood
His mouth was sewn shut
His expressions were masked

He ran towards me. I shouted
I ran forward, looking back at him
I ran into the wall and he disappeared
Who was he, who is he?

"Hollow skull, Meet with me", Whispered someone
Who's there, I shouted, come here
"Hollow human, be with me", whispered someone
I looked behind, I saw him, his mouth had opened .

He looked like a skull, a human, a tortured son?
Become one with me, save me , I am you
He faded. A whisper came from everywhere
Save me, save me, save me, save yourself

It then stopped, I ran to get out
Sweat was dripping down my face
I continued to run towards the door
I ran but it didn't come within reach

Suddenly the walls twisted
Faces appeared every where
He was coming from all directions
The same bloodshot-red eyes came rushing

I was backed against something
Suddenly I slipped and was thrown into an abyss
Ah, I suddenly woke up, Was it a nightmare?

Behind me, my lamp was still on
I shut it off and pulled my blanket on
Unknown to the poet, a dark figure laughed
Shining, bloodshot eyes were staring

It may just be me but my first thought of was Kafka's process of corruption by something apart of himself
The idea that it was normal day... until he started to feel dizzy seeing things.
& I see that you love to use mirror for revealing other worldliness

-# & in respect, if you like manga from Naoki Kurosawa, often you have that charm of existential issue & the eerie everyday dread of character's getting thrown into a shadowland they'll have to face

It did! Especially at the end of "it's not just a dream."
(And I remembered that you also explore the idea of shadow within self from The Mirror... I learnt abit of Jungian so this kinda interesting on how whoever is the protagonist needs to embrace their "other self")

-# I recommend Monster manga btw though it's more a thriller, but the main antagonist's philosophy would be interesting to analyze

oo is this the psych horror one that u told me about? it is quite creepy. i like it! the fridge laughing reminded me of the movie Requiem for a Dream 🫣
