I held him high,
like Rapunzel’s mother,
afraid someone might steal him away.
But he never saw me
as special as I saw him.

All he wanted was to escape
the castle I had built
with every emotion and ounce of love,
carefully crafting every detail
just for him, within my heart.

And he didn’t just leave—
he completely destroyed it,
like a raging sea turning into a tsunami,
demolishing its own beauty.

And when the storm settled,
I felt the weight drain my body—
not in relief, but in sorrow,
as the love I had built inside me
raged its way out,
leaving me empty.
