Wow, this is beautifully written. It reminded me of a poem that I wrote as well. Similar to the feeling that you must’ve felt when you wrote this too.

A Man Is Only Good for His Word”

He spoke like silver catching flame,
soft enough to make me stay.
I traced the edges of his name—
it blurred, it bent, it slipped away.

He promised skies I’d never see,
and oceans meant to never end.
Each vow was tied around my wrist,
then tightened just to twist again.

He built his worth from borrowed breath,
a mask of charm, a practiced tone.
But every truth he failed to keep
became a bruise I called my own.

I kept his voice inside my chest,
like something fragile, something cursed.
He said I’d never lose his love—
I think I lost his meaning first.

Now silence speaks the clearest sound,
in lessons sharp and undeserved.
A man is only good for his word,
and his was just—
a whisper heard.

# gray mango Girl show meeee

He asked her, “Did you even love him?”

She sighed, her gaze steady.
“A girl thinks longer and harder before committing than a boy does. When she chooses someone, it’s not an impulse—it’s after rejecting him in her mind a hundred times, after weighing every possibility. And when she finally says yes, she already knows he’s the one. That’s the plot twist.”

She paused before continuing.
“Not every man is trustworthy, but not all are untrustworthy either. Even a product doesn’t come with a lifetime guarantee—so how can you expect a human to? After all, a product is designed by a human. If he wanted, he could have made it last forever. But he didn’t. If permanence isn’t built into what we create, how can you expect it in love?”

He fell silent.
He had asked a simple question—
but received more truth than he was ready to hear.

(not so poetic as urs kinda narrative stuff)

No its beautiful! It really sticks a message to it that I feel like a lot of people can relate to

Your poetry reminds me of so many that I’ve written as well. This one is more. I guess someone would say religious, but once I read about the weed was planted next to the wheat, it made me think and I started writing

#

“The Weed and the Wheat”

The Weed and the Wheat

They say the weed was sown beside the wheat,
Root to root, beneath the summer heat.
One meant for harvest, gold and sweet,
The other wild, untamed, unfit to eat.

But what of the wind, a careless hand,
That stirs the soil and shifts the land?
What if one green shoot began to bend,
Borrowing shape from its chosen friend?

Imagine a stalk with a tangled grace,
Soft golden head and a thorn at its base.
Neither blessing nor curse, neither wrong nor right,
Growing half in shadow, half in light.

Would the farmer know just what to do,
When faced with something both false and true?
Would he call it a flaw, or something complete?
A weed made tender, a wheat made fierce,
A heart that trembles and still perseveres.

Maybe it’s never as simple as seed,
As pure as purpose, as clean as need.
Maybe we’re born in twined designs,
Half gentle bread, half wild vines.

And maybe that tangle beneath our skin
The storm, the softness, the grit, the grin,
The part that breaks and the part that stands—
Is the quiet truth of being human.

To be honest I'm immediately struck by the gorgeous background and effort you've put into presentation worthy of a poem equally beautiful

So this so relatable
And last stanza hits hard
Its very poetic very impressive
Just a suggestion it would be nice if u describe it more detailed like smthg that caused u to describe that person or maybe the story behind it
It would be more poetic like i could feel through it but other than that
Seriously it was amazing
