I didn't mean to write a Haiku but okay 🧍🏻‍♀️✨

[fading pond]

When the sky goes dark and the stars show themselves
I like to dust off my ancient shelves
And ponder the question you happened to ask
To wonder about equal love - that's the task

Consider this: the difference
Between a golden, godly prince
And a lover, a partner, the yang to your ying
And which one of those people will most likely sting

But isn't it the point that two yearners are equal?
While yes - this "love" to a pedestal is but a sequel
For someone who's founded their self in the search
Will never be able to resist such an urge

The problem is: they search for a crutch
When you become untouchable you're unable to touch
Both princes are cursed to never embrace
And they shall both suffer in their old lonely space

The only world where two yearners will love
Is the one where they learn to let go like a dove
And accept that there need not be something to chase
And truly look into the other one's face

No matter the tears or the cracks that they share
It all doesn't mean anything till they care
The universe will attempt to keep them apart
But they will tie themselves together if they follow their heart.
