and all I can do is cry.
The tears rolled down my cheek,
but you never looked back.

I knew you hated to see me cry;
I thought you’d stop—
even if only for a moment—
just to swipe my sorrows away.

What a fool.
You wished the best for me,
so did I wish you happiness
in life and in death—
with or without me.
I never could imagine
letting my love go
would be so torturous,
but letting us go
was the best thing I could do for you.

How long can one cage a bird
that needs to be free?

I can see you fly away,

Beautiful poem, there are a couple of things I'd personally change. First instead of “ rolled “ maybe you could change the word into something more dramatic? Or the whole line? Maybe something along the lines of “ My cheeks left riddled with tears “

I would also swap the word “ swipe “

This poem is showing the hopelessness "I can see you fly away,
and all I can do is cry." these line really shows that

this shows that the wound is soo fresh that you can't accept that you got wounded

why does this line feels like you were never you in that relation and maybe you or the person was holding each other back and letting go was the best thing for both of you
