Life’s a frequency.
We move through it
in different waveforms.
When we were kids,
we all seemed to share the same frequency —
steady, simple,
in sync.
Rare were the ones who didn’t.
But as we grew,
our frequencies began to shift.
Some rose higher,
some fell lower,
but most stayed steady.
Then there were the others —
those whose frequencies
were all over the place.
Sometimes they soared.
Sometimes they dipped.
Sometimes they leveled out,
just for a moment.
And sometimes —
they barely registered at all.
A soft waveform,
faint as a fading heartbeat.
Maybe they were just
out of sync.
Waiting,
for someone
to tune in with.
Maybe that’s just how life works.
Or maybe —
I’m just
out of sync.
