Sometimes, when I look at the sky full of stars,
I get lost in their glow.
They’re all so close to one another,
And yet so far from me.
They’re too distant
For their light to embrace my shadow.
Like that perfect vision of love,
Waiting at the end of my road —
Whose name I have yet to discover.

The moon has become a mirror to my soul,
Reflecting the hope that lies in the darkness —
The one I can't escape.
I keep it close,
Turning the terrifying dark into a gentle light
That slowly rebuilds my sense of self-worth.

Over the years,
I’ve lost important pieces of myself,
Blindly meeting the needs of others.
And my heart,
Once full of childhood dreams —
Has become an empty well,
Waiting for someone to fill it
With drops of desires
Hidden deep within me.
The ones I can't forget,
But I lack enough strength
To turn them into reality.

Maybe one day,
That long-awaited, destined person
Will help me find my lost self.
He's waiting for me somewhere far away,
Going through his own hell.
Or maybe...
This is another innocent dream,
Whose reality I would like to believe in.
Like when, as a child,
I blew out the candles on my birthday cake each year —
Asking the Universe for that one person,
Whom I hadn't met yet.
