#My Wife Is A Silent Being

this is so interesting... it shows that there's a dynamic here
the wife just being a yes man and the husband being the breadwinner with the big plans
she takes care of their children, does what she is expected to do as a wife but does she really want that for herself?
what if her silence is her becoming distant to her lifestyle
*what if her silence
is her becoming distant
to her lifestyle*
whoa
IM SAYING THIS SHI BEAUTIFUL 😭 make my son known
this could be an arranged marriage or a loveless marriage
Honestly idk, I feel like it was a normal marriage but they feel out of lovw
thats the most logical explanation unless op has different opinions
Most def, I wanna hear bro take fr
we might be wrong though )*^(#)
Sadly 😭 I hope not though, ima write any anylis on this definitely
So this poem is about my uncle’s marriage. He grew up in the 70s/80s in a culture where they teach women to not talk when men are talking and to only live for their parents, then their husbands, then for their children
Sadly this is the reality of many women who are only wives and mothers
They do not have a say in anything
And the husband is at fault but also he simply doesn’t have the emotional intelligence to understand his wife because truly nobody told him that wives are humans just like him with dreams, hopes, fears…
My aunt wishes to go to university but she has 3 kids and can’t really. Especially as one of them needs special attentions
OMG, that makes so much sense and im sorry to hear that
Read it? Gng I engraved it into my brain I reread it atleast 10 times already
Omg it makes me really happy to hear that 😭
I really spent many days on this
Ur effort of a few days would match the effort of years to recreate the beauty of this poem, good job 🙏
You’re too kind 😭😭
I think I could improve it but not sure how. For now I’m leaving it like this
Im actually writing a series and this poem is part of it
*Im actually
writing a series and this
poem is part of it*
What's the series?
The series is about women in my life and I wish I can write poems where they are the ones who speak for once
And it’s titled “No One Told Me She Had Dreams”
I’m visiting my parents’ country in a few weeks and I wish to take notes and kinda like interviews
Not sure if you know Muriel Rukeyser poetry
But I kinda want to write some in a similar style
Ion know this person, but im intrigued about ur series and how you'll describe each of the women in ur life (pls @ me when u write em)
Sureee tag me too in yours. I’d love to read it
Bet I got u rn
