this poem has a strong haunting energy. ‘dull eyes’ and ‘burning jungle,’ really sticks with you. the contrast between nature and the oppressive system is really striking. one suggestion: tightening the pacing in a few spots could make it even stronger. it's a compelling piece with a deep emotional impact; great work!
