Lord, O, Lord,
why does it say
in your book
you’ll bring dismay?
Words of judgment,
end of times.
Aren’t you lovingly,
Mercifully kind?
What rights have you
to burn up the towns,
torture the people,
and shatter their crowns?
Why bring destruction,
when you can bring peace,
gather all people,
and name them your sheep?

“Child, my child,
your heart is kind,
but your soul is flawed,
and your eyes are blind.
If you only saw
the shadows of man,
that stretch into darkness,
an infinite span.
If you only saw the torture, upon
the children and women,
from night until dawn,
he murder, the r*pe,
the theft, and the lies,
the bloodstained dirt,
and their laughing eyes,
the eyes of the devils,
who roam the earth,
humans that gamble
their souls and their worth,
humans that spit
in the face of myself,
humans that
ring the earth closer to Hell,
humans that care
for themselves alone,
humans who laugh and
defile their own,
humans who spit,
when I send a man
to plead for their lives,
and show them my plan,
wolves in sheep's clothing,
who prowl at night,
hunt down their victims,
and scratch out their sight,
wolves, who seek
only to blind
my children and to
leave them behind
to die in the dust
of the wolves’ self esteem,
while to all the world,
they’re heroes, it seems.
Now do you see,
why I stand at the gates,
waiting with storms
to mold and to shape
this world with great flames,
to purge all the dirt
that was left behind,
by those who bring hurt,
but even so,
I am merciful still,
granting time and more time
to this battle, uphill,
to bring even more
of the lost sheep
back to the fold,
so they may believe,
and be saved, from the flames
The torment of hell,
and live in eternal,
Grace and be well”.

It is kind of based off of this verse in the book of Job in the Bible, where Job questions God as to why he was made to suffer, and God then goes into a monologue asking things like "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?"
