The description and metaphorical language is wonderfully done, you can feel the impact but it's still light on the heart the aesthetic is definitely inline with Victorian esque mini horror
The sudden transition from night to day kinda turns to the awakening of humans but at first I thought you'd talk about the awakening of those ghosts so a rather unexpected end
But the way you described the pain of the grave-dwellers is peak description so little words used but crazy imagery
Living up to the motto of "show, don't tell"
dude my jaw literally dropped reading this review. LITERALLY. i appreciate it so damn much!! That was exactly the goal, though. to nudge the reader towards the mystery, not to expose it bare. a loaded whisper.
