There's so many things I want to say
That I can't put it into words.
I really don't want to sound cliche,
But I know these things must be heard.
The dictionary doesn't give me a phrase
To describe how I feel about you,
But I know you put me in a daze.
One that I won't ever get through.
I search for the right words, the right rhyme
None of these scriptures win first prize.
I try to capture you in time,
But I just get lost in your eyes.
That's one thing that I, myself, can describe
Your eyes, the window to your beautiful soul,
The way they gleam, I'd paint and scribe.
The patch of blue, running uncontrolled.
They hold me captive,
Still and endless, pulling me close.
When you stare at me, it leaves me passive.
Slowing my ever increasing pulse.
You color the blush on my cheeks with your cherry fingertips,
And that's always worth the apocalypse.
