Laughing sage …
Dusky, loony day in old city of Tehran,
People standing in the court of Iran.
Whispering gossiping of old man Kazan.
In the palace of gems, marble, gold and silk.
Gleaming beauty from every end.
Waiting for King to ascend to his gold throne.
In a sudden moment drums start roll
All the Beasts and men starts bowing,
Carpets are laid, curtains prevail
In utter silence only footsteps heard
When King sits, peasants raise their head’s
Viceroy and court men rush to authority
Informing him of enigmatic man Kazan.
King asks of his act’s and sin’s,
To judge and serve justice by himself .
Viceroy speaks
a smart man with masquerade of fool.
he knows all yet when asked of him say’s
I don’t know, I don’t know
He’s copping a plan or a spy of other nation.
King order’s to bring Kazan in the court
Guard’s flee on a fingers sway,
bringing Kazan infront of king
King looking at an old man with rugged clothes
King speaks
“ is this whom you were boasting of,
who scared you, shook your bones.
“Let me see what bothers you”
King ask’s Kazan question’s of world
Science, theology, secrets of cults.
Amazed by answers of Kazan
King intrigues to know him more.
He ask Kazan of his home
But as always Kazan says
I don’t know
He ask Kazan about his kids
with a tear in eyes he say’s
I don’t know
He ask’s Kazan about his wife
With a sorrowful smile he say’s
I don’t know
At last King ask’s his wish
Laughing kazan say’s
I don’t know….
