#Daisy désirable

The day was the same as the previous.
she tended to her beloved white petals with care.
but when she was planting a sweet daisy, the routine becoming tedious
a glint of metal caught her eye, reflecting the suns glare

for this daisy was not like the rest
Its petals are hard as nails, the stem harder than a sword.
but it still swayed, the wind rocking it just the same
despite its sway, her hands unable to tend the daisy

she poured the sweet water for the steel
the water causing the petals to droop.
she tried taking the daisy, the shears snapping at the heel
for it seems nature is the only true Gardner

she did not judge the daisy
her care just as gentle as before
despite the iron body, its heart never changed
its still a daisy, she wont ignore

she witnessed the daisy bloom.
the metal scraping, the daisy screaming
the sight was something to behold, something she could never tame
but it was still a daisy all the same

this poem is evocative. i love your use of and contrast. i think delving deeper into the symbolism of the iron daisy would really help strengthen the message. is it a commentary on industrialization, artificiality, or something else? the ending is bland, maybe try something more emotional, even abrupt. the poem is gentle so i feel it would really make the ending stand out more.

good work!

Awh, this one is really sweet. It's like accepting the differences among us. Knowing everyone is different and perhaps need special nurturing. They should be shamed for being different. In the end, we all deserve love and nurturing, regardless of if we're made of metal or petal.:D

its still a daisy, she wont ignore i dont know if you were intending this meaning or not but i got the feels that the daisy is a flawed person and the gardener is god..and god wouldn't ignore no matter how flawed the person is..because at the end we all daises @dawn frost
