In heaven’s glow, a soul stood near,
Before God, calm yet clear.
“Your time has come to tread the earth,
To live a life, to find your worth.”
The soul, excited, raised its voice,
“To be courageous, that’s my choice!”
God smiled, “Then trials you’ll face,
Monsters to conquer, fears to erase.”
A pause, a thought, the soul did say,
“Then grant me patience along the way.”
“Patience is earned,” God replied,
“Through years of toil, with hope as your guide.”
The soul grew quiet but soon exclaimed,
“Then wisdom, please, let that be my aim!”
God chuckled, eyes soft with care,
“Failures will teach you what’s truly fair.
To value life, to judge what’s right,
Through darkness, you’ll find wisdom’s light.”
The soul, now pensive, asked with dread,
“Can’t I have ease, a smooth path instead?”
God, smiling, shook His head,
“My child, the easy path deceives,
True peace is earned through what you achieve.
Struggles refine and mold the soul,
Through trials, you’ll find your destined goal.”
The soul stood still, a tear in sight,
Then bowed to God, with newfound might.
“I’ll walk the path, no matter how steep,
For treasures lie where trials run deep.”
