Poignant and beautiful. This is what I want Dr. John Asquith to be, to use modernist and tech-inspired similes to draw the beauty of this world in an exacting degree. The fact that the man gently shifted from embracing the loss of her daughter to be distracted again by his work is beautiful, but yet fleeting, as if when he's lonesome again he'll surely embrace the stardust that was his beloved. This tale of being lost, both in emotion and automaton, is perhaps more descriptive of your background that you ever know. And the closing line, Ya Rabb, it's a home run
