Kinda hits close to home. So I hate this in a lovely way,
Many cats have wandered past
Miming priests and pastors
But my reflection stays cracked
With broken dreams of answers
💖
This is beautiful. The shards that we are, as if fragmentation of our true self, become something to collect and make whole. My opinion stands that this is achieved through literature: by writing about it, we inadvertantly make lignin of our xylems and phloems and stick it back together stronger than ever before. This like hits home for me
staring at ourselves in someone else's gaze"```
Isn't that just who we are in our eyes and on other people's eyes?
Write more! ❤️
@pliant schooner I love it, it even made me wonder.
Thank you so much. Now to address what you said in last line—The concept of seeing or knowing oneself is being proposed here & the metaphor happens to be, A reflection—yours or anyone else’s—it can only occur when something interrupts or blocks light isn’t it ? That is why I referred to in someone else’s gaze, as it applies not just to the observer but also to the one being observed.
I’m glad you enjoyed reading it & I was able to make your imagination kindle a bit. 😊
Ahh, it was more of a reflection on those lines, a rhetoric question, then a question, but thank you for answering! ❤️
Here's a related poem in relation to this

Oh a one with similar theme ?
Yes
Maybe, teehee!
It was based on a convo I had with one of my professor, hence the title
I’ll check it out, thanks.
This is awesome! Might be my second favourite poem of yours (the first being the Hindi one) I really like it
Very nice imagery reflecting the mirrors! I like the use if rheotorical questions! As usual, your work is symbolic of emotion~ thanks for sharing!!
