#What She Was Like

She was the cure of my pain
A ray of hope to show me way
She was like petal of flowers
A very soft and gentle heart

I was but a shallow man
A broken toy thrown on the road
I was like a column of dust
Waiting to be cleaned only by her

She was bright like the rising sun
A wave of refreshment and fun
She was like the shining stars
A mirror to this poet’s heart

I was like a dead tree
Standing lifeless, completely still
I was like a dried-up stream
Revived when she touched me

She was like the symphony of rain
A drumming beat keeping me awake
She was the one I cared for the most
A wish to become part of her.

Ooo this poem is really good! I like the way you described her to be sort of wonderful while the speaker seems more..lifeless or without purpose without her

I was but a shallow man
A broken toy thrown on the road
I was like a column of dust
Waiting to be cleaned only by her

This was really good

Also I think you may not have noticed this or if this was on purpose but I think you repeated the word 'be' twice in the last line
