In the quiet that settles when evening falls,
I hear the echoes down empty halls,
of words we spoke, soft and near,
that fade like whispers, clear but sheer.

The wind stirs subtly
There's howls in the distance
Of lone wolves
Singing midnight songs

Songs of love,
Songs of woe,
Songs of desire,
Songs of life,

In one sound
So much is said
That is nature's beauty
But then along comes natures death

The flood of tears,
In so many years,
Ones life is forgot,
For all will be lost,

Because we get caught up in what won’t be
We look back and not forward
And as the the sands of time keep flowing
We all keep yearning for how things used to be

We fight to see the light,
The light that cease to be,
We fight for what's right in our hearts,
But when we fall we crash too heavy,

Then were stuck at the bottom
And can’t crawl are way out
And the rocks grow sharp
Threatening to kill you at any wrong move

Move by move,
Claw by claw,
Time by time,
We try, we fight, but whatever we do we fall again and again,
Hope is lost
Rock bottom was hit
My time was then
But its gone now

Like a bottomless pit,
I fall in despair,
Seconds slip away,
I fall away,

As i slip away
I see the light
This is where I say
goodnight.
